Kia's Electric Van Line Grows Up

The Kia PV7 is the larger follow-up to the PV5 and the second dedicated electric model in the brand's Platform Beyond Vehicle family. It moves Kia into the light commercial van class with more room and capability, aiming beyond compact urban deliveries toward heavier work and broader lifestyle uses.

A One-Box Shape With a Stronger Stance

The teaser keeps the PV7 close to the futuristic concept's basic idea. Its tall one-box profile is set off by a black hood and dark pillar trim, creating a continuous band around the cabin. Distinctive front and rear lamp graphics give the van a recognizable Kia identity without sacrificing the upright body that makes the interior useful.

Built Around Business Instead of Adapted for It

Kia's PBV platform was developed for the high mileage, heavy loads, and frequent stops common in commercial work. A low floor is meant to ease loading and unloading, while the dedicated electric architecture makes more efficient use of the body than a van converted from an internal-combustion platform. Kia also plans business-focused software for fleet status, data analysis, and vehicle management.

More Than a Bigger PV5

The PV7 broadens the same flexible idea across commercial and personal settings, from cargo duty to everyday transport. Its full debut is set for the September 14 press day at IAA Transportation in Hannover, with market availability planned for 2027.
